After a four-month extensive renovation we are proud to say we have opened our doors of our re-designed restaurant. The Victorian inspired experience boasts a host of design improvements including our bespoke breakfast bars and window seating, a total lighting upgrade, the use of luxurious wallpapers, marble tables, antique decorations and all finished off with an indulgent palette of soft furnishings, offering comfort and relaxation to our guests.
The 2019 menus have been exclusively designed in house and are full of locally sourced produce, with all meals being freshly homemade by our head chef Wayne McLeod and his team. We offer traditional meals such as Fish & Chips, Steak Burger, and Fish Pie and also meals with a modern twist such as Kidneys on Crumpets, Venison Sausage & Mash and Salmon Linguine. Daily lunch and dinner specials will also be available throughout the peak season.
Our Sharing Boards are already a firm favourite, especially the lunchtime Ploughman’s consisting of Wookey Hole Cheddar, Somerset Brie, Wild Garlic Cornish Yarg, Devon Blue and Honey Roasted Ham, Salad Garnish and Homemade Bread.
Our dedicated Gluten Free and Vegan menus offer a wide variety of starters, mains and sides including Vegetable & Chilli Chickpea Nachos, Roasted Aubergine with Sweet Pepper Ragu and our homemade Mushroom and Chestnut ‘Sausages’.
Coming in July, our revamped Guest Breakfast Menu, with a buffet consisting of Cereals, Fresh Fruit, Yogurt, Pastries and a selection of Mixed Nuts, Seeds and Dried Fruit. Our hot menu has a choice of Homemade Porridge, Eggs Benedict, Smoked Salmon with Scrambled Eggs and, of course, a Full English.
We are grateful for everyone’s patience during this time and look forward to welcoming back our diners.
