Our Dining

We’ve given our dining menu a little refresh, and we couldn’t be more excited to share what’s been happening behind the scenes at The Elephant in the Room.

We’ve welcomed a fantastic new Head Chef into the family – someone who loves the wild larder of North Devon and Exmoor just as much as we do.

This isn’t simply a new menu. It’s our heartfelt celebration of the coastline, countryside, and the incredible people who produce the food right on our doorstep. Think comforting, thoughtful dishes made with care, inspired by the moors, the sea, and the seasons.

You can expect less of the usual hotel fare and a lot more joy on the plate – food that feels special but never fussy, refined yet relaxed, and always rooted in wonderful local ingredients from our farmers and foragers.

And now, we’re delighted to say that The Elephant in the Room is open.

Join us from Thursdays to Sundays, 6–9 pm, and come and experience what we’ve been cooking up. We can’t wait to welcome you in, pour you a glass of something lovely, and share our new chapter with you.
