We really give a crap
At The Bath Hotel, we’re all about making your stay eco-friendly and enjoyable! We proudly use “Who Gives a Crap” toilet paper, which not only feels great but also meets top social and environmental standards. So, you can feel good about your choice while enjoying a comfortable stay.
No more single use
We’ve ditched single-use straws and plastic items to cut down on waste. Our takeaway coffee cups and packaging are recyclable, and we even turn our waste oil into renewable energy—how cool is that?
Who needs paper?
We love being paperless! Our admin centers use recycled paper, and we get invoices electronically from suppliers. Checking in is a breeze with our paperless process. Our housekeeping team uses a cloud-based system for room info, and we’ve switched to QR codes for in-room information, cutting down our paper use significantly. Ordering at The Ancient Mariner is also done via QR codes, reducing our paper menu printing by over 70%.
Reduce, recycle, reuse
We take recycling seriously, dividing our waste into general and mixed recycling, including glass and cardboard. We work with a local waste collection agency that shares our sustainability values, helping to reduce our carbon footprint.
Energy efficiency is key
We’ve got sensor lights, LED bulbs, and we adjust heating and hot water seasonally. Our reuse towel policy lets you decide how often you want fresh towels, helping us save water and energy. Our dual flush toilets and waterwise fixtures also help conserve water. Plus, we’ve removed minibar fridges in favor of a self-service station, which reduces electricity use.

Our Smart Cellar System at The Ancient Mariner has cut water wastage, cleaning chemicals, and CO² emissions by up to 80%. In your room, you’ll find planet friendly Ada products and enjoy Tupinamba coffee, adding a touch of green luxury to your stay.
Real and local = Best
We bring nature indoors with real plants and source local produce for our kitchen, which helps us limit our carbon footprint. We’re committed to zero food waste on new menus and provide recycling waste dividers in rooms, making it easy for you to join us in our sustainability efforts.

We want to make sure that your stay with us in Lynmouth is as memorable as it is enjoyable. Whether it’s taking some of the stress away from parking after a long drive, or telling you about our bar, which boasts to be the only pub in the land with a full size torpedo and octopus sculpture, below are just a few things you might be interested in and find helpful
Parking
Parking in Lynmouth can be tough, which is why if you’re lucky enough to be staying in one of our suites you’ll enjoy free private parking. Alternatively, please see reception for more information on a permit for your stay in one of two public car parks.
Rooms
We have 20 comfortable and quintessentially eclectic en-suite rooms, the majority with sea views. Each room has its own character, unique decor and feel, with a nod to the history of our Victorian building. Choose from suites to quirky twins.
Exploring
When it comes to exploring you’ve places to go than you could shake a sturdy Exmoor stick at. That’s before you realise you’re in one of the most picture perfect places in the whole of North Devon already. We’ve got plenty of recommendations though.
